Add your Dankort to Apple Pay
It is now possible for customers in all banks who issue Visa/Dankort or Mastercard Dankort to pay with Dankort in Apple Pay.
All it takes is 2 minutes to add your card to your Apple Wallet or via your mobile bank.
If you're already using Visa/Dankort or Mastecard Dankort with Apple Pay, you need to remove your card and add it again for the Dankort part to be activated.
So do yourself, and those you shop with, a favor. Add your Dankort to Apple Pay.
Here is how:
1: If you have a Visa/Dankort or a Mastercard Dankort you can add it to Apple Pay:
Go to the "Wallet" app on your iPhone
Tap the "+"
Add your Visa/Dankort or Mastercard Dankort
2: If you've already added your card to Apple Pay, but can't see the Dankort logo on the card on your phone, you need to add it again to be able to pay with Dankort.
3: Once you've done the above, and you pay with Apple Pay, the store can receive your payment as a Dankort payment.
Three good reasons to pay with Dankort
1. Cheaper for the stores
Dankort is the cheapest payment method for the vast majority of stores.
When you pay with Dankort, you're helping to keep the stores' payment costs down.
This isn't just an advantage for the stores in your local area – but also for you as a consumer, as the stores' costs affect prices.
2. Easy and secure
Paying with Dankort in Apple Pay is just as safe as using the physical card.
When you pay with Apple Pay, the card number is never stored on either your phone or Apple's servers.
You also don't need to enter a PIN code in stores, as the phone uses Face ID and therefore your PIN code cannot be snooped. Online, you don't need to enter card number and CVV, so these numbers cannot be intercepted either.
3. Danish payment method
Dankort is developed by the Danish banks for the benefit and advantage of consumers and stores in Denmark.
Dankort is regarded by the National Bank of Denmark as part of the critical payment infrastructure.
Although Dankort is now owned by the pan-European payment company Nexi, the payment infrastructure is Danish and operated under Nets Denmark.
