New price model for Dankort agreements for webshops
1 January 2022, we launched a new price model for Dankort agreements for webshops. We did so to make it easier for you to calculate the price of your Dankort agreement. The transaction fee will be just 0.32% and furthermore we have removed the start-up fee as well as the annual fee.
The price is the same for everyone
... but the change will be more significant for some than for others. With the new price model where all webshops pay the same percentage, some webshops will experience less cost, while others will experience that the cost have increased. Below you can see some price examples, maybe your business fits into one of the categories.
Webshop with a lot of sales and a low average purchase amount
A webshop with 14,000 sales per year, an annual turnover of DKK 2,600,000 and an average purchase amount of DKK 186 currently paid DKK 12,000 to receive payments with Dankort with the old price model.
With the new model, the same webshop will pay 0.32 % of the total turnover of DKK 2,600,000, which will be DKK 8,320. It is therefore now 30 % cheaper for the webshop to accept Dankort.
Webshop with a lot of sales and a high average purchase amount
A webshop with 10,000 sales per year, an annual turnover of DKK 8,300,000 and an average purchase amount of DKK 830 paid approx. DKK 20,400 per year to receive Dankort with the old price model.
In the new model, the same webshop pays 0.32%, of the total turnover of DKK 8,300,000, which will be DKK 26,560. It is therefore approx. 30% more expensive for the webshop to accept payments with Dankort with the new price model.
